Quality Cafe – Open 24/7 on Your Screens

When you look into film locale eateries there are three that continue to pop up on my search. Probably the most recognizable, however, is the Quality Cafe (now closed to business) at 1236 7th St. near the corner of Wilshire Blvd. in LA. I’ve actually driven by this little hole in the wall that at first glance you would never notice, especially now that it has boards across the windows. But, that doesn’t stop it from starring in film and TV.

Déjà vu?

Even the coffee mugs are the same:

Season 1 of Mad Men, That was also the Quality Cafe with ’60s hair, clothes and smoking allowed.

The Quality Cafe again in an episode of CSI: NY, Gary Sinise investigating outside of his New York jurisdiction:

Morgan Freeman and Gwyneth Paltrow meet at the Quality Cafe in Se7en:

In Mr. and Mrs. Smith, Brad Pitt and Vince Vaughn in a serious conversation at the Quality Cafe

Scarlett Johansson and Thora Birch visited too in Ghost World:

Here, Tom Hanks trying to catch Leo in Catch Me if You Can:

Nicolas Cage staring in Gone in 60 Seconds

Like that actor that suddenly appears in a movie and you exclaim, “wow, I thought he died,” you’ll see this little cafe pop up suddenly in a scene.
